Over two days, you will shape a complete teapot with your own hands — from the body and lid to the spout and handle. Handbuilding makes the impossible possible: each teapot is one of a kind, every gesture a statement. With Catherine as a guest artist, this workshop becomes an even more special and inspiring experience. Perfect for both beginners and experienced makers alike, it promises to be truly unforgettable!

After about two weeks, you’ll return to glaze your plate and give it the final touch.

  • The two-day workshop (3 hours each) plus a separate glazing session costs 150€.

    Clay, glazes, firing costs for one teapot, and other materials are included.

    At an additional session (around two weeks after the first), you’ll return to glaze your pieces and add the final touch of color to your creations.

“Ich bin Marlin (he/him). Als bildender Künstler ist seit einiger Zeit die Keramik und kreatives arbeiten mit Ton mein Hauptfokus. Meine Liebe zum Handbuilding habe ich schon als Kind im Atelier 1000blum entdeckt.

Mich fasziniert besonders das Experimentieren mit Glasuren und das Unkontrollierbare im Prozess. Ton speichert Spuren, jede Bewegung und jede Entscheidung, die während des Arbeitens entsteht und genau diese Lebendigkeit des Materials interessiert mich.

Ich forme abstrakte Vasen, Skulpturen, Gebrauchskeramik und Reliefs. Mein wichtigstes Werkzeug sind meine Hände.”
